I called comcast ahead of time to verify this model is compatible and they confirmed it was - I was worried it was going to be damage or old but this came in excellent condition, the ethernet cable they provided is a little short so I used the one I already had that comcast provided. The set up to a bit of work with comcast : I provided the TMAC number that came on the side of the unit, it was easy to find.
I submitted these numbers and got it registered. I had to reboot my computer to get the phone on and then after I opened up my browser I got the comcast walk through setup process note that I already had the phone line automatically active by then. Final step was filling in my account info and after that instantly I had internet -- it worth the effort I'm now saving a little bit each month.
